Description:

The Forum for Excellence is Illinois’ premier Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Adult Education (AE) professional development event. The Forum is designed to highlight educational initiatives and effective practices impacting career pathway implementation and expansion. Sessions are selected by ICCB and serve as a launch to the year’s professional development delivered through the Professional Development Network. The Forum for Excellence is sponsored by the Illinois Community College Board and hosted by the Illinois Center for Specialized Professional Support (ICSPS), the Southern Illinois Professional Development Center (SIPDC), and the Central Illinois Adult Education Service Center (CIAESC).

Target Audience:
Postsecondary and Secondary Administrators (including but not limited to: EFE System Directors, Superintendents, Principals, Postsecondary Perkins Directors/Coordinators, Adult Education Administrators/Coordinators, Deans, Chief Academic Officers, ABE/ASE/ESL Instructors, etc.)

  • Postsecondary Perkins Administrators are invited to join the Illinois Community College Board CTE team and the Illinois Center for Specialized Professional Support for updates and an overview of FY2021.

  • Perkins Administrators will get a chance to connect with their ICCB Perkins liaison, as well as engage with Perkins colleagues from around the state. Participants will be encouraged to connect with one another about innovations amidst COVID-19, as well as lingering questions about their FY21-24 Local Applications.

  • Whova Virtual Conference App- September 23, 2020, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
  • This will be an open discussion about ICAPS. Participants can ask questions and/or share experiences. IET grant recipients are encouraged to attend along with other individuals with questions about starting, scaling, improving, shifting, getting approved, etc. an ICAPS program. Both CTE and Adult Education participants will be able to take away and/or offer ideas and suggestions.
