The Transitions Academy is designed to assist colleges and partnerships working on developing Bridge and ICAPS (Integrated Career and Academic Preparation System) programs by increasing awareness of the expanding partnership between Adult Education and Career and Technical Education as it relates to the IET/ICAPS models, Illinois Bridge programs, and Illinois Programs of Study.

Event Information

SAVE THE DATE! The Illinois Transition Academy event on August 7 & 8 is designed for programs that are wishing to start, restart, or improve their ICAPS model one or model two programs. During this day and a half professional development event, program teams will review the primary components of the IET models, explore resources and learn effective strategies to create and enhance robust ICAPS programs at their institutions.

Programs are required to bring a team composed of an adult education administrator and a CTE administrator. Other individuals encouraged to attend include career navigators, team teachers, and other members essential to the team.
