Illinois WIOA Summit

 

The Illinois WIOA Summit 2019 will be hosted by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the Illinois Community College Board, Illinois Department of Employment Security, the Illinois Department of Human Services, and other  WIOA partners. The objectives of the summit will be to share the vision of service integration in Illinois by addressing the components necessary for success that are impacted by policy. This Summit will provide high level guidance on implementing service integration and innovative practices related to policy.

The 2019 WIOA Summit will be held on April 23 and 24, 2019.

The WIOA Core partners invite you to submit a request for presentation for the 2019 WIOA Summit.
Request for Presentations:

  • Each presentation request requires a separate submission.
  • Presentations are approximately 60 minutes, including time for questions and answers.
  • All accepted submissions will include up to two complimentary registrations for presenters. Additional presenters or attendees must register at the conference rate.
  • Sessions that include sales of products or services are not permitted.

Topic Areas for 2019 WIOA Summit

  • Customer Centered Design: Sessions will focus on sharing how your state and local area peers are implementing customer-centered service delivery aimed at improving work flow, customer process, communication, teamwork, effective referrals and follow-up.
  • Staff – Outreach & Engagement: Sessions will focus on core job competencies, organizational values, and performance expectations related to service integration partnership, staff development, business engagement strategies, and integrated resource team approaches.
  • Intake & Assessment: Sessions will focus on intake practices, suitability and holistic assessment of customer needs that serves as the basis for a service plan.
  • Services: Sessions will focus on strategies to create timely and coordinated access to all WIOA services to customers.
  • Information: Sessions will focus on strategies to enhance the sharing of information through effective communication and teamwork between WIOA partner agencies and building a supportive and accountable one-stop culture.
  • Evaluation & Certification: Session will focus on program performance, operations, and evaluation and certification process.
