The Illinois Center for Specialized Professional Support (ICSPS) is proud to be working, under the direction of the Special Education Division on the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), to develop and expand a variety of resources focused on the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other disabilities who are transitioning from secondary education to postsecondary education or the workforce.
The goals of this project is to create resources that can be used by students with ASD, their family members, secondary and postsecondary educators, and staff, employers, and members of the community, to better understand the transition process, the unique barriers faced by individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and to assist them in working towards or providing equitable access in the workplace/postsecondary setting. This webinar will be an introduction to the project and resources and a kick-off of our monthly webinars to support students with Autism as they transition into post-secondary and the workplace.
