This session showcases a dynamic bridge-to-ICAPS program model (currently spanning workforce readiness, career exploration, careers in healthcare, early childhood, sewing, and entrepreneurship) designed to serve English language learners from preliterate to advanced language levels (NRS 1–6), both in-person and online. We’ll explore a holistic approach to workforce preparation, starting with entry-level upskilling, culminating in career attainment. Through employer surveys, we identify real-time industry needs that directly inform curriculum development, ensuring relevance and responsiveness. Participants will gain insight into how innovative work-based learning options, including factory-based training and in-home entrepreneurial startup pathways, are integrated to meet diverse learner goals. The presentation highlights how intentional design and flexible delivery create equitable access to ICAPS and IELCE pipelines, empowering ELLs to transition confidently into high-demand careers. Join us to learn how innovation, collaboration, and learner-centered design are transforming adult education and workforce development.
