The Autism Training and Technical Assistance (ATTA) project team is excited to introduce Dr. Theresa Regan, PhD. Dr. Regan is a neuropsychologist with over 25 years’ experience who specializes in understanding how the brain impacts thinking skills, behavior, and emotions. As the mother of a son on the autism spectrum, she has personally experienced the autism diagnostic process as well as the many gifts and challenges that accompany living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Dr. Regan founded the OSF Saint Francis Adult Diagnostic Autism Clinic in Peoria, Illinois and is a Certified Autism Specialist. She speaks regularly on her podcast: Autism in the Adult. Moreover, Dr. Regan has developed a course, Autism Spectrum Disorder: What Every Clinician Needs to Know, available through the Zur Institute. She has also authored several books including Understanding Autism in Adults and Aging Adults: Improving Diagnosis and Quality of life and Understanding Autistic Behaviors: Improving Health, Independence, and Well-being. Dr. Regan has a wealth of knowledge that she presents in an understandable and accessible way. Join us for this engaging session to hear, learn, and find resources regarding ASD.
