Bridging the Gap

The Bridging the Gap project aims to reduce remediation and promote student readiness for college level coursework and the seamless transition from high school to college.  The project is designed to assist colleges interested in creating and expanding opportunities for students through co-requisite remediation, transition courses, and summer bridge programs.

Bridging the Gap Summit

The Bridging the Gap Summit was held in Normal, Illinois on March 28, 2017.  At the Summit the Illinois Community College Board and invited guests presented national and local curriculum alignment efforts to demonstrate what other states are doing to assist students in becoming college and career ready. Guests included experts from the Community College Research Center (CCRC) as well as local Bridging the Gap community college sites sharing effective practices and strategies for success.
