Nontraditional Occupations Summit

Do you struggle with recruiting students into fields nontraditional for their gender, such as men in nursing or women in STEM? Are you looking for success strategies to improve enrollment? Join national experts from the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) as they lead an engaging workshop on how to discuss and market nontraditional occupations. Participants will receive the Explore Nontraditional Careers Toolkit which provides toolkit provides a research-grounded process to assist educators in transforming their practice to increase the participation and persistence of students in nontraditional occupational programs and pathways. Through a process of examination, reflection, and action, the activities in this toolkit prepare educators to reach, teach, and maximize the success of every student. Activities, reflections, detailed lesson plans, PLC guides, and vivid infographics are included. This interactive workshop will provide career and technical educators, and those who support students and educators, with tools and activities to identify data driven and research-based strategies to increase access and achievement for students pursuing nontraditional fields.
