Women in Non-Traditional Occupations Program at St. Phillips College

The Women in Non-Traditional Occupations (WINTO) program at St. Phillips College in San Antonio, Texas, provides a variety of services and activities for students enrolled in programs nontraditional for their gender in an effort to inform, recruit and help students succeed as they work toward their nontraditional career goal.  The program provides opportunities to overcome the obstacles of entering a male dominated career, to develop leadership qualities, to meet and network with employers and to make a smooth transition from the classroom into the workplace.  WINTO ensures that every female student enrolled in nontraditional occupations is helped to realize their capability for learning, raise their qualifications, and follow pathways tailored to their aptitudes and aspirations.  The program aims to provide students with a ticket to a successful adult and working life.
